This means we are responsible for determining how your data is used and managed, and we are accountable for those decisions. HOW WE USE YOUR DATA WHEN YOU ENGAGE WITH US ON SOCIAL MEDIA

When you engage with us on social media, both we and the social media platforms may process your personal data, such as your profile information, content you post, and your online interactions and connections. You can also manage your privacy settings and data sharing preferences directly on each platform.

 

HOW WE USE YOUR DATA WHEN YOU MAKE A DONATION

When you make a donation to Ne Taba International Inc, we use the personal data that you provide to process your payment and to keep a record of your support.  When we use personal data in this way , in data protection terminology our lawful basis is ‘legitimate interest’.  

 

We record your name and contact details, and the type and amount of your donation in our donor database and email management system.  

 

We use a payment processing company called STRIPE to take card payments on our behalf.  STRIPE  is compliant with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS).

 

We will keep in touch with you by email from time to time to keep you up to date on the impact of your donation, the work we do, occasional emergency appeals and how to get involved through campaigning and petitions. You can choose not to receive these emails when you make your donation, and you can also ‘unsubscribe’ at any time by following the link in the emails.    

 

We will not share your contact details with other organizations to use for their own marketing purposes without your prior consent.

 

We retain records of financial transactions for a minimum of 7 years to comply with applicable U.S. regulations and ensure thorough record-keeping practices to manage our relationship with you.  We keep data retention regularly under review. 

 

If you make a significant donation, we may need to carry out checks including on the sources of the funds and any business or other interests that you have.  We do this to protect the reputation of Ne Taba International Inc, and to meet legal and regulatory requirements.  When we use personal data for this purpose, in data protection terminology the lawful basis is ‘legal obligation’.

HOW WE USE YOUR DATA WHEN YOU WORK FOR US

Applicants and employees receive a separate Privacy Statement during recruitment. Current employees can access the full privacy notice on our internal drive. Past employees with data-related questions should email us at contact@ne-taba.org with their question and previous employment details.

You can make a request at any time.  We will respond at the latest within one month.  If in exceptional circumstances we need longer to respond we will explain this to you. If you make a request, we will usually ask you to provide some identification.

At times, we may need to share personal data with other organizations, such as to prevent fraud or meet legal obligations. We strive to be transparent about such instances, though there may be cases where full disclosure isn't possible. Rest assured, we will not share your personal data with other organizations for their marketing purposes without your explicit consent.
